GRE Subject Tests
In addition to the GRE General Test, ETS also offers the GRE Subject Tests for prospective graduate applicants. These tests gauge the applicants’ level of advanced preparation for further study at the Graduate level, in different specializations.

GRE Subject Tests are offered in the following subjects:

Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology
Biology
Chemistry
Computer Science
English literature
Mathematics
Physics and
Psychology

These are paper-based tests, conducted only three times in a year – in the months of October, November and April.

However, in India, the test is conducted only in November of every year, that too in the following cities:

Bangalore
Coimbatore
New Delhi
Kolkata
Mumbai
Pilani (in BITS)
Ranchi and
Trivandrum

The Test Fee for GRE subject test is US $ 150. Additional Score Reporting costs $ 20 per report to one institution

The total score range is between 200 and 990 in each of the subject tests. Each subsection score range is between 20 and 99.

The first step in planning to register for any of the above tests, is to obtain a Test Bulletin. The Test Bulletin, which is supplied FREE, can be obtained from the following sources:

Prometric Testing Office in Gurgaon and other cities: - only in person

You could visit the Prometric office in your city and take a form from their office.

Alternatively, you may download the application form and bulletins from the websites, as the case may be.
