GRE vs GMAT: Which one for MS, MBA and MiM programs
Both accepted at most business schools now — but the choice still matters for scores, prep time and program signalling.

The general test landscape has changed. What's true today:
GRE General — 1h 58m, accepted by nearly every MS program and 90%+ of MBA programs globally.
GMAT Focus Edition — 2h 15m, business-school signature test; still preferred at top MBA programs even when GRE is accepted.
When GRE wins: engineering, CS, analytics, sciences, and MS programs.
When GMAT wins: top-tier MBA (M7, INSEAD, LBS), Masters in Management at LBS/HEC.
Both need ~150 hours structured prep. GRE valid 5 years, GMAT Focus 5 years.
