Terms & Conditions

Last updated: January 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website, counselling and application-processing services of Impel Overseas Consultants ("Impel", "we", "our"). By enquiring with us, engaging our counsellors, or using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Nature of our services

Impel is an independent overseas-education consultancy. Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Career and course counselling for undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs abroad.
  • University shortlisting and application processing.
  • Guidance on Statement of Purpose, Letters of Recommendation and resume drafting.
  • Student-visa filing guidance and mock interviews.
  • Introductions to education-loan and scholarship partners, test-prep providers, forex, and pre-departure services.

Our services are advisory in nature. Final decisions on admission, scholarships, tuition, accommodation, visas and immigration are made solely by the respective universities, authorities and third parties, over which Impel has no control.

2. No guarantee of admission or visa

Impel does not and cannot guarantee admission to any university, receipt of any scholarship, grant of a student visa, part-time employment abroad, permanent residency, or post-study work outcomes. Any success rates or timelines shared reflect past averages and are not commitments.

3. Eligibility

Our services are intended for prospective higher-education students, typically aged 17 or above, and their families. If you are under 18 you must engage us together with a parent or legal guardian.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information and documents.
  • Disclose any prior visa refusals, academic backlogs, medical conditions or criminal history relevant to your applications.
  • Meet deadlines communicated by your counsellor for documents, fee payments and interviews.
  • Independently verify university fees, program details, scholarships and visa rules before making financial commitments.
  • Not misrepresent your credentials or submit forged documents through our office; we will terminate services and cooperate with authorities if this occurs.

5. Fees and payments

Initial counselling is offered free of charge. Certain value-added services (e.g. SOP editing packages, premium visa filing, coaching, pre-departure programs) may be chargeable and will be quoted in writing before you engage them. Fees paid to Impel are separate from any application, tuition, SEVIS, biometric or visa fees payable directly to universities or authorities.

6. Refunds

Refund eligibility for chargeable services is governed by the specific engagement letter or receipt issued at the time of payment. Third-party fees (application, tuition deposit, visa, test, courier) are non-refundable by Impel; refunds, if any, are subject to the respective third party's policy.

7. Third-party universities, tests and providers

All university names, logos, crests and trademarks referenced on our website or in our communications belong to their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply endorsement, agency, partnership or affiliation with Impel unless expressly stated in writing. We are not responsible for the content, policies, admission decisions, fees, or on-ground experience of any third party, including universities, test providers, loan providers, forex partners, accommodation providers or visa authorities.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, graphics, blog posts, videos, logos and design — is owned by or licensed to Impel Overseas Consultants and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, republish or distribute our content without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial reference.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Impel, its directors, employees and counsellors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive or exemplary loss, including loss of admission, loss of academic year, loss of employment, currency fluctuations, changes in immigration rules, or acts of any third party. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with our services shall not exceed the fees actually paid by you to Impel for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Impel and its personnel against any claims, damages, costs and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, misrepresentation of information, or violation of any law or third-party rights.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement by written notice. Impel reserves the right to discontinue services immediately if a student submits fraudulent documents, engages in abusive behaviour toward staff, or violates these Terms. Fee-refund treatment on termination is governed by Section 6.

12. Website use

You agree not to (i) attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, (ii) scrape, copy or misuse content for competing services, (iii) upload malicious code, or (iv) misrepresent your identity in enquiry forms. We may suspend access for suspected misuse.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Hyderabad, Telangana shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or our services.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
