Score each option across 5 dimensions: academic fit, career pipeline, cost, culture, and long-term pathway. Here's the exact template we use.
Most students choose a country based on a friend's decision, or a Reddit thread. Here's a better way — the same framework our counsellors use in the strategy session.
Step 1: List 3 candidate countries from Impel's six destinations — USA, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand or Singapore.
Step 2: Score each 1–10 on: Academic fit for your program. Career pipeline for your role. Total cost including opportunity cost. Cultural comfort. Long-term pathway (PR / work visa / return).
Step 3: Weight the dimensions by what matters to you.
Step 4: The highest total isn't automatically the answer — but it removes the emotional ties.
